Walkin24 Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 1 October 2026

1. About Walkin24 and these Terms

Walkin24 is an AI-assisted interview preparation and career-readiness platform operated by HIRECAM.AI Pvt. Ltd. (“Walkin24”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), having its registered office at Operation Control Center, Ground Floor, RMGL, DLF Phase-3, Gurugram, Haryana 122010, India.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Walkin24 website, applications, platform, and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You accept these Terms by ticking the unticked box. We keep a record of the version you accepted.

Accepting these Terms is not the same as giving privacy consent. Where we need your consent to use personal data, we ask for it separately on a consent screen, with a clear notice. Consents for optional features, camera analysis, marketing and connecting third-party services are each asked for separately, and you can say no to any of them without losing features that do not depend on them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, and our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies.

2. Who can use Walkin24

Walkin24 is only for people aged 18 or older. This includes college and university students, graduates, freshers and working professionals preparing for interviews. You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the Services. We do not offer accounts to anyone under 18 and do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and do not allow an account to be created if it shows you are under 18. Please answer truthfully; the field is not pre-filled. If your profile suggests you may be under 18 (for example, a school class you enter), or we otherwise learn that an account holder is under 18, we will suspend the account and ask you to confirm your age. If you are under 18, we will close the account, delete your personal data (apart from records the law requires us to keep) and refund any unused prepaid Plan. If an adult with a disability has a lawful guardian, the guardian sets up the account and gives consent on their behalf.

3. Your account

Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Only fields marked as required are needed; the profile completeness meter is just a guide. A profile photo is optional, and we do not run facial analysis on profile photos. Keep your login details private and tell us at privacy@walkin24.com if you suspect misuse. Do not create accounts using someone else's details or share an account to get around Plan limits.

4. What Walkin24 does

Depending on your Plan, the Services let you:

  • create, upload, edit, store and download resumes, get AI suggestions, and compare a resume with a job description you provide;
  • practise simulated interview questions by typing or speaking, and receive automated scores, feedback and reports;
  • if you use your microphone, have your answer converted to text and receive feedback on content and delivery, such as relevance, structure, clarity, vocabulary, pace and filler words. This may include patterns across your sessions;
  • use optional camera analysis (see "Camera analysis"); and
  • keep a history of your practice sessions and reports.

The microphone and camera are used only when you start a session and give permission on your device. You can always answer in writing instead. We do not record or store your audio. When you answer by voice, your audio is captured in your browser, sent securely to our servers, passed to our speech-to-text provider for transcription, and then discarded from memory; it is never saved to our storage or database. Our speech-to-text provider may keep audio for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring before deleting it, unless the law requires longer retention, as explained in the Privacy Policy. We keep the text transcript and the AI-generated report in your account for 12 months from the date of each interview, unless you delete them sooner.

Walkin24 is a practice tool. We are not a recruitment agency, employer, college, admissions body, counsellor or healthcare provider. We do not share your results with employers or institutions; only you can choose to share them. Using Walkin24 does not guarantee any interview, job, admission or salary outcome.

5. Camera analysis

Camera analysis is optional, off by default and needs your separate consent. You can use every other feature without it.

When you switch it on, Walkin24 analyses the live camera feed during a practice session to estimate observable presentation indicators, namely whether your face is in frame, gaze direction relative to the camera, head movement, expression changes, lighting and framing. The analysis runs on your device and the video never leaves your device and is not sent to Walkin24 or any service provider. Only the resulting indicators are saved to your account.

The indicators, scores and feedback it produces are personal data about you and form part of your interview report, which we keep in your account for 12 months from the date of the interview; you can delete them at any time. Camera analysis does not identify you, verify your identity or compare your face with any database, and we never use it to make decisions about you. A visible indicator shows whenever the camera is on. You can turn the camera on or off at any time using the camera control, and you can switch camera analysis off or withdraw your consent in your account settings at any time.

Results can be affected by camera quality, lighting, glasses, head coverings, skin tone, disability, neurodivergence and cultural norms about eye contact. If an indicator does not fit your circumstances, ignore it.

6. What AI feedback is and is not

Walkin24 uses automated systems, including third-party AI services, to generate questions, transcripts, scores, feedback and suggestions. These outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or biased, and can be affected by language, accent, microphone or camera quality, lighting and network conditions. They may not suit your circumstances.

The visual and voice-based feedback is an automated estimate intended to support interview practice and may not accurately reflect your actual confidence, stress level, emotions or abilities.

Walkin24 is not a medical device, a psychological or personality assessment, a mental-health diagnosis, a recruitment decision or a measure of your employability. Scores help you compare your own attempts over time; they are not employer, admission or fitness scores and must not be presented as an official assessment. Please use your own judgement and, where it matters, ask a teacher, mentor or counsellor.

7. Your content

Your resumes, answers, recordings, transcripts, job descriptions you paste and other material you submit ("your content") remain yours. You allow us to store, process and analyse your content, including through our contracted service providers, only to provide the Services you request, keep them secure, fix problems, comply with law, and improve Walkin24 in the limited ways described in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies the law requires us to keep.

We do not sell your content, publish it, share it with employers, institutions or advertisers, or use it in our marketing without your specific, separate permission. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers are not permitted to use it to train theirs.

You must have the right to submit your content. Do not upload other people's personal data without their permission, confidential material, identity documents, Aadhaar numbers, bank details or health records. You can delete individual items or your whole account at any time.

8. Our intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Services and all rights in them, including our software, design, branding, original question bank, scoring methods, templates and report layouts. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your own interview preparation and career development. We do not claim ownership of the resumes, answers, interview reports or other outputs generated for you from your inputs. You may download, edit and share your own resumes and interview reports, including with employers, colleges and other institutions, for your career purposes. Our templates and report layouts remain ours even when they appear in documents you download, but sharing your own resumes and reports in this way is always permitted.

Unless the law allows it (including under section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957), do not copy, resell or commercially use the Services, our question bank, templates or report layouts; scrape or use automated tools on the Services; reverse engineer them or try to extract prompts or code; get around limits or security measures; or copy or misuse our protected materials to build a competing product or service. This does not restrict you from using the general skills, knowledge or experience you gain from practising on Walkin24.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Walkin24 to break the law; commit fraud or impersonate anyone, including misstating your age; cheat in a real exam or interview; invent qualifications or experience; upload malware or attack the Services; harass or abuse anyone, including our staff; deliberately game the AI scoring; or upload material you have no right to share. For good-faith mistakes, we will normally just ask you to remove the content.

10. Third-party services

We use other companies for hosting, AI and speech-to-text, analytics, messaging and payments. They act on our instructions under contracts that require them to protect your data, and we remain responsible to you for them as the law requires. Some may process data outside India, as explained in the Privacy Policy. If a provider fails or changes, some features may be interrupted; we will take reasonable steps to restore them, and "Plans, payments, cancellation and refunds" explains your remedies. Services you choose to connect, such as LinkedIn, have their own terms.

11. Plans, payments, cancellation and refunds

Plan features, session limits, Credits and their expiry are shown on the pricing page and at checkout; what is shown when you buy applies to that purchase. Before you pay, we show the total price including taxes, the billing period and whether the Plan renews automatically. We never pre-select add-ons or add charges after checkout. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we do not store card numbers, CVVs or UPI PINs.

Auto-renewal needs your explicit agreement at checkout and follows Reserve Bank of India rules for recurring payments, including a pre-debit notification from your bank or card issuer at least 24 hours before each charge. You can cancel renewal in the premium section of your account in no more steps than it took to subscribe; you keep access until the paid period ends. If a free trial converts to a paid Plan, we tell you the conversion date upfront, and you will receive a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before the first charge. We do not use fake countdowns or false scarcity. We will not reduce a paid Plan's features during its term, and we give at least 7 days' notice by email of any price change before it applies to your next renewal.

Refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy. In any case you are entitled to a refund or other fair remedy if you were charged twice or the wrong amount; if money was debited but the purchase failed; if a paid feature was unavailable or seriously defective for a significant period because of us; if the Services were materially different from what we described; or where consumer law otherwise gives you that right. Where these Terms refer to a refund of the unused part of a prepaid Plan, we calculate it from the date your account closes as: amount paid for the Plan × unused days ÷ total days in that paid period. For example, if you paid ₹2,000 for a 365-day Plan and close your account with 180 days remaining, the refund is about ₹986. If your Plan includes a fixed number of interview credits and you have already used a larger share of those credits than of the paid period, we use the share of unused credits instead of unused days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 days.

12. Suspension and closure

You can close your account at any time in your account settings. We may suspend or close an account, or limit a feature, where reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, a security risk, unlawful activity, a serious breach of these Terms, non-payment after a grace period of 7 days, attempts to get around limits or safety controls, use of an account by a person under 18, or a legal requirement. Unless there is a risk of harm, fraud or a legal breach, we will first tell you the problem and give you a reasonable chance, normally 7 days, to fix it. We will give reasons and you can ask for a review through "Contact and grievances".

When an account closes, you can download your resumes and reports for 7 days (unless closure was for serious fraud or security reasons), after which data is deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy. If we close your account without fault on your part, we refund the unused part of any prepaid Plan.

13. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with and your rights, including audio and camera analysis. You can withdraw any consent as easily as you gave it. We do not sell personal data. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

14. Safety and support

Walkin24 tries to keep questions and feedback appropriate. If you see anything inappropriate, discriminatory or harmful, report it through our Help & Support page

Walkin24 is not a counselling, crisis or emergency service and does not monitor answers for distress. If you are in immediate danger, call 112. For mental-health support, you can contact Tele-MANAS on 14416. If we learn that someone may be at risk of serious harm, we may take the steps the law requires or permits, including contacting the appropriate authorities.

15. Our responsibility to you

We provide the Services with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise that AI outputs will be accurate or suitable for any particular employer or purpose, that the Services will always be available (they depend on the internet and third-party providers), or that using them will lead to any particular outcome.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law, or our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, breach of our data protection or security obligations, infringing your intellectual property, or anything else that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, that were caused by your own breach, or that were caused by events beyond our reasonable control. For all other claims, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the previous 12 months or ₹5,000. This does not limit what a Consumer Commission or court may award.

If you deliberately or fraudulently breach these Terms, upload infringing content or use the Services unlawfully, and a third party claims against us as a result, you will cover our reasonable resulting losses. This does not apply to losses caused by our own fault or to ordinary use in line with these Terms.

16. Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by Indian law. If you have a complaint, contact us first (see "Contact and grievances"). Either side may suggest voluntary mediation. If you are a consumer, you can always go to the appropriate Consumer Commission, including where you live or work, or to any other authority the law allows. Otherwise, the courts at Gurugram have jurisdiction. We do not require consumers to go to arbitration. Once the relevant provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are in force, you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India after using our grievance process.

17. Changes to these Terms

We fix typos and minor wording by updating the Terms and the date. For changes that affect your rights, we will email you at least 30 days before the revised Terms take effect, with a summary of the changes, a link to the revised version and its effective date, and we may also show an in-app notice. You can close your account before the change takes effect and receive a refund of the unused part of any prepaid Plan, calculated as set out in "Plans, payments, cancellation and refunds". Changes to how we use personal data are made through the Privacy Policy. Where a new use of your personal data needs fresh consent, we ask for it through a separate, active consent step and do not apply the change until you give it. We never treat silence or continued use as consent where the law requires express consent.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and any feature-specific terms shown to you form the whole agreement; on personal data, the Privacy Policy prevails. You may not transfer your account or rights without our consent. We may transfer ours in a merger or reorganisation if your rights are not reduced, and we will tell you. We send notices to your registered email, mobile or in-app.
