Why AI Interview Practice Is Better Than Guesswork

An answer can feel convincing in your head and sound very different out loud. Move from wondering whether you are ready to identifying what you can improve before the interview.

Practice Interviews for Top Companies

Applying to Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Accenture or Deloitte? Start with the job description, identify the skills it asks for and practise examples from your own experience that demonstrate them.

Your target company is a starting point, not a script. Prepare to explain why the role fits you, how you solve problems and what you have learned from your work or projects.

Explain what changed because of your action. Add a number only when you can substantiate it.

Not real user results. Scores are practice aids.

Overall Performance Score

Use the practice score as a starting point for reviewing the session, not a prediction of whether an employer will select you.

Skill Analysis

See which parts of your answer are clear and which need more relevant detail, reasoning or evidence.

Speaking & Delivery Analysis

Review supported delivery indicators separately from answer content. Camera-based observations are optional and do not establish your emotions or actual confidence.

Question-level Feedback

Find the response that needs attention instead of relying only on an overall result.

STAR Framework Analysis

For behavioural answers, check whether you explained the situation, your responsibility, your actions and the outcome.

Actionable Improvement Recommendations

Finish with a practical next step, such as clarifying your contribution, explaining a trade-off or adding a factual result.

Your story. A stronger structure.

Answer Enhancement Workflow

Keep the experience yours. Improve how you explain it.

Example question

Tell me about a time you worked under a tight deadline.

“We were behind on our final-year project and had two days left. There were four of us. I divided the remaining tests among the team and checked the login flow myself. We fixed the critical errors and presented the demo on time. It was a good teamwork experience.”

The example keeps the same facts in every version.

See a follow-up question

“Why did you choose to check the login flow yourself?”

Reflect. Refine. Repeat.

Interview Progress Tracking

Make each attempt about one improvement. Review the same answer again and look for clearer structure, stronger evidence and a more direct response to the question.

Attempt 01

Find the gap

Notice that your answer describes the team but not your contribution.

Attempt 02

Make it specific

Explain the decision you made and the action you took.

Attempt 03

Close with evidence

State the outcome and what you learned, using only facts you can support.

Illustrative practice journey. Progress varies, and scores from different roles or question sets may not be directly comparable.

Know your practice tool

Understanding AI Mock Interviews

An AI mock interview is a practice conversation in which software asks interview questions and provides automated feedback on your responses. It is a preparation tool, not a real hiring assessment or a promise of selection.

AI Mock Interview vs. Traditional Mock Interview

ConsiderationAI practiceHuman-led practice
SchedulingAn on-demand practice optionUsually arranged with another person
FeedbackAutomated feedback that can contain errorsContextual judgement shaped by the reviewer's experience

Benefits of Practicing Interviews with AI

Use AI interview practice to rehearse out loud, organise your examples, explore follow-up questions and identify a specific point to improve. Combine it with role research, technical preparation and feedback from a trusted person when possible.

Before you start

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about practice, plans, feedback and your data.

What is AI interview practice?

AI interview practice lets you rehearse a simulated interview and receive automated feedback. Use it to work on the way you explain your experience, answer follow-ups and structure your responses.

Can I start a mock interview for free?

Yes. The free plan includes 3 AI interviews per month, 5 minutes each, with basic AI feedback. Paid plans add more interview minutes, 10 and 15 minute sessions and detailed reports you can download.

Is Walkin24 suitable for freshers?

Yes. Freshers can build a focused self-introduction, practise explaining internships, projects and skills, and get comfortable with HR and technical rounds for a campus placement or first job.

Which interview types can I practise?

You can practise HR, technical, behavioural, leadership, self-introduction and executive communication interviews, as well as group discussion and presentation practice. The options you see depend on whether you are a student, fresher or working professional.

How long is a practice session?

You can choose 5, 10 or 15 minute sessions. The free plan includes 5-minute sessions; 10 and 15 minute sessions are available on paid plans.

Do I need a microphone or camera?

You need a microphone because you answer out loud. A camera is optional. If you turn it on, delivery indicators such as eye contact are analysed in your browser and the video is not uploaded.

Does the AI score predict whether I will get hired?

No. The score is a practice aid that shows which parts of your answer to improve. It is not a hiring assessment or a prediction of selection.

Can I prepare for a specific company?

Yes. Start with the job description, choose the matching role and practise examples that show the skills it asks for. Walkin24 is not affiliated with any employer, and practice questions are not taken from real hiring processes.

What happens to my interview data?

Your answers and reports are saved to your account so you can review them and track your progress. Camera analysis runs on your device. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Read the Privacy Policy.

What should I do after a practice session?

Pick one improvement from your feedback, such as clarifying your contribution or adding a result, then practise the same question again before moving on.

How should I prepare for a walk-in interview?

Prepare a short self-introduction, two or three examples from your experience and answers to common HR questions. Practise them out loud so you can answer clearly when there is little time to prepare.

Make your next answer count

Ready to Practice Your Next Interview?

Your next answer does not need to sound rehearsed. It needs to sound like you, with a clear point and a relevant example. Start a practice session and choose one thing to improve.
