Before the next application
It is hard to fix a problem when you cannot see it. These are the checks many applicants overlook.
01 / Readability
Complex columns, graphics or text inside unusual layouts can make some resume parsers miss important details.
Clear text and familiar sections.
02 / Evidence
A skills list or a vague bullet point may tell a recruiter too little about your experience, even when you have relevant work to show.
Specific tasks and honest examples.
03 / Role fit
The same resume can leave out useful details for different roles. A job-specific comparison helps you spot them.
Job-description matching: paid plans.
Sample ATS resume report
A good ATS resume checker should make the next edit easier to understand. Explore this sample to see the kinds of readability, writing and job-match questions worth asking.
Sample report details
IllustrativeCheck whether contact information is readable
Important information should sit in normal document text, not only inside an image or text box.
Use consistent experience dates
Use the same date format for each role to make your work history easier to interpret.
Keep section names familiar
Experience, Education, Projects and Skills are clearer than creative section labels.
Why check first
The point of a resume check is to make your next draft more useful. Start with what the feedback tells you.
Review contact information, headings, dates and the reading order. Good formatting helps people too.
ATS readabilityTurn vague responsibilities into specific, accurate examples a recruiter can understand.
Resume contentCompare the job requirements with work you have genuinely done. Leave out skills you cannot demonstrate.
Job match on paid plansEdit in the resume builder, check the report again and revisit the sections that still need work.
Resume builderHow Walkin24 works
Start with the resume you already have, or build a new one. The free plan includes the ATS check and one resume.
Add a PDF, DOC or DOCX file, or start a new resume in the builder with details you can support.
See your ATS score, the breakdown behind it and the suggestions worth acting on first.
Make the relevant changes, check the final file, and follow the employer’s application instructions.
Before and after
A clearer resume can be more helpful than a longer one. Here is an example of a bullet point written with more useful detail.
“Worked on reports.”
The task, tool and responsibility are not clear.
“Maintained the weekly Excel sales report and checked duplicate entries before submitting it.”
The revision names the work. It does not invent a percentage improvement.
Example only, based on supplied facts. Not a customer testimonial.
Free versus paid

ATS score explained
It can be a useful goal inside a particular resume checker. It is not an official cutoff used by every employer.
An ATS can extract and organise resume information. A commercial checker may also assess formatting, writing and job relevance. Each product sets its own scoring rules, so the number is not a universal hiring prediction.
A more useful question: which problem does the score point to, and is that problem real?
0 of 5 reviewed
A preparation checklist, not an ATS scan or a score calculation.
Your resume is personal
A resume can contain personal contact details, education and work history. Check the policy before adding it to any online tool.
Resumes and job descriptions are kept until you delete them or close your account. An uploaded file is read and not stored.
Walkin24 does not sell personal data or use your content to train AI models.
Walkin24 accounts are available to people aged 18 and above.

Yes. You can upload a PDF, DOC or DOCX file of up to 10 MB. Walkin24 reads it to build the report and an editable copy; the uploaded file itself is not stored.
No. Different products use different scoring criteria, and there is no universal passing score across employer applicant tracking systems. Read the findings behind the number instead of treating it as a hiring decision.
No. Clear formatting makes your resume easier to read and may reduce some parsing problems, but a recruiter still considers role fit, qualifications and other requirements. A score does not guarantee a shortlist or interview.
No. A general score helps you review readability and content, while a job-match check compares your resume with a particular vacancy. Walkin24 lists job-description matching as a paid feature.
Yes. Relevant education, internships, college projects, volunteering and skills with evidence can help explain what you have done. Never add a fake job or skill just to increase a score. Walkin24 accounts are for people aged 18 or older.
Start with practical problems: unreadable text, unclear section headings, incorrect dates, missing contact details or vague descriptions. Make changes that are accurate and relevant. Do not repeat keywords simply to chase a higher score.
